Renault Triber Seven-Seater MPV Unveiled

Renault has officially unveiled their seven-seater small MPV, the Renault Triber. Directly rivaling the Datsun Go+ MPV, the Renault Triber, like the Go+ measures under four meters in length. The Renault Triber is Based on a modified version of the Kwid’s CMF-A platform and resemblance the Renault Kwid but to differentiate itself from the shorter brother, the Renault Triber gets new headlights, a new grille, a sculpted clamshell bonnet, a squared-off rear section and an upright stance, which is further accentuated by the roof rails and 15-inch alloy wheels.[gallery size="full" ids="9722,9714,9715,9716,9717,9718,9719"]The inside of the Renault Triber is more modern, thanks to the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is larger than the ones found on the Kwid, Lodgy, Duster, and Captur. The Renault Triber also gets a 3.5-inch LCD screen in the instrument cluster. The infotainment system features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. As MPVs go the Renault Triber comes with the third row of seats and a horizontally adjustable second row of seats that comes with a reclining and split folding function. The third row can be removed altogether to free up to 625 litres of boot space.[gallery size="full" ids="9710,9711,9713,9712,9720,9721"]On the safety front, the Renault Triber gets dual front airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors, and a speed warning system as standard. Higher variants of the Triber will get a reverse camera and two more airbags. Driving the Renault Triber is an upgraded version of the Kwid’s 1.0-litre (BR10), three-cylinder petrol engine mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT making 72hp and 96Nm of torque.
